Construction

We've moved back to Paris and I started a new job in an art gallery so things have been insanely busy but very fun. I'm updating this blog and merging it with my other french blog so things will be a bit calm until the big update merge extravaganza. Please check in soon I hope to have everything ready by Valentines day. Bises!

Let's Pretend Thanksgiving Party

We will be Brunei bound on thanksgiving because our friends are getting married the following Sunday. We will be in the air on thanksgiving eating "vegetarian asian" airplane food. I don't really mind missing the cooking part but I'd like to take part in the being thankful aspect and would love to rock a headress like last year when we hosted thanksgiving at our apartment in Paris.

ps design sponge has some great thanksgiving inspiration too

Election Night in Paris

It started with a rendez-vous infront of the Paris Opera house and finished with homemade pumpkin pie   and pints on the rue Daunou and a win for Obama. Good Night!

Perfect November Afternoon

Football in the sunshine, a healthy snack, new books from the library, a mountain of candy, coffee with baileys and rubbish TV (during nap time I just realized we have E! dubbed in French) and finally tea and Trotro with Papa. Pretty perfect fall afternoon.

Bois de Vincennes

I forgot we lived so close to a huge forest! The bois de Vincennes, to the East of Paris, has an area of 9.947 km², which is almost three times larger than Central Park and four times larger than Hyde Park in London. Needless to say this is a pretty good place to go running, as the twisty paths make it easy to get lost turning a twenty minute run into an hour run plus 15 min wander / map hunt. The bois is also a great place to picnic in the summer and leaf hunt in the fall. Theo was so adorable requesting large leaves from high up branches and marching about with a bag full of leaves around his shoulder that dragged on the floor.

Fresh Flowers

I love waking up early and going to the flower market with Theo and Amy. We left extra early today buying us time for a leisurely cafe creme and pain au chocolate in the delicious market restaurant where everything is homemade and incredibly fresh. This week Theo and I came home with these amazing wine (or blood) red daliahs with hints of black, perfect for Halloween! I might have to dry a few to keep for the Halloween party we are throwing the 27th.

Let's Pretend Halloween Dates

The perfect outfits for midnight dates to haunted houses, pumpkin patches, underground catacombs, spooky bars and the like.

p.s. have you heard about the haunted manoir in Paris? I can't wait to go it's like a haunted house where they elaborate on 13 Paris legends.

Antipode

Our friends reserved the boat Antipode for an afternoon Flamenco concert. It was so cozy on the boat sipping cafe cremes, eating tapas and listening to beautiful guitar music while outside it poured with rain. When the concert was over the sun came out for a few minutes and it was beautiful and wet and clean walking along the canals.
