Let's Pretend Thanksgiving Party

We will be Brunei bound on thanksgiving because our friends are getting married the following Sunday. We will be in the air on thanksgiving eating "vegetarian asian" airplane food. I don't really mind missing the cooking part but I'd like to take part in the being thankful aspect and would love to rock a headress like last year when we hosted thanksgiving at our apartment in Paris.

Let's Pretend Halloween Dates

The perfect outfits for midnight dates to haunted houses, pumpkin patches, underground catacombs, spooky bars and the like.

p.s. have you heard about the haunted manoir in Paris? I can't wait to go it's like a haunted house where they elaborate on 13 Paris legends.

Let's Pretend Paris Apartment

We will be staying in Paris until the end of the year so I am doing a little work on our apartment. At one time the place was split into two apartments with two doors and a fireplace in each room. I would love to have a fireplace to light now that it is cold and rainy outside more often then not, however many paris fireplaces have been walled off to reduce smoke and smog and the chances of setting the building on fire. So I'm doing my best to make the place dark and warm and cozy, here is some inspiration.

Let's Pretend Les Vacances

Sorrento, Italy

One of the most admirable things about the French culture is how seriously they take their vacations. Every July shops (mega chains and the tiniest of hand curated boutiques) hold massive sales of sandals, ethereal dresses, espadrils and nautically stripped swim suits in preparation for les vacances. Summer magazines are eerily uniform in their cover choice (beautiful girls in swimsuits) and are teeming with articles on how to prepare your self (mind body soul and hair) for the upcoming vacation. Despite coming from 6 months of balmy heat in Bali even I am whipped into a frenzy of vacation envy. I recently stumbled on this site for finding boutique hotels and the Italian coast looks spectacular...
