The rainy season in Southern Thailand is much more ferocious then Bali's rainy season. We were held captive in our hotel for a few days because the road to our left was waist high in rain water. The Album hotel wasn't a bad place to be held captive however given the roof top hot tub and coffee machine in the lobby. Once the clouds parted we caught a boat to ko phi phi (where they filmed Bond).
