Michel and I were married a year ago in an ancient monestary / light house on the Costa Brava in Spain. It was an amazing weekend starting with a rehersal dinner at my favorite seafood restaurant in Paris (Terminus Nord) a Civil Ceremony in France at the Mairie de Vincennes on Friday, a flight to Spain and rooftop party in Barcelona on Saturday and a beautiful wedding high on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic ocean. So for our 1st anniversary Michel stuck to the nautical feel and surprised us with a trip to a little island off the coast of Bretagne. Hoëdic (Edig) is an island off the south coast of Brittany. It is very calm and savage with only 94 people living on the island year round. In the summer Britons come to camp or stay in the gits (cottages).
We made castles on the beach
read in the sunshine
got lost in a very thorny field
enjoyed relaxing just us three and even got a bit of a tan, what a perfect weekend
